Sasan (ساسان)

Sasan is was Homay's half-brother (another son of Bahman). When Bahman appointed the then-pregnant Homay as his successor, Sasan was so "annoyed" and resentful at being passed over for the throne that he left the royal court. Sasan went into exile in Neyshabur, lived as a shepherd, and his descendants eventually founded the Sasanian Empire.
